2007 Tiffin Phaeton, model 40QDH. This 40 foot diesel pusher is powered by a 360 Caterpillar diesel engine with 54,000 miles connected to a 6 speed Allison transmission. The coach has 4 slides and is on a Freightliner chassis.
The coach was renovated in 2012 including new carpet and a GE side-by-side stainless steel residential refrigerator with freezer and ice maker. Two new flat screen TVs are connected to a Weinguard one-touch satellite dish and a Direct TV DVR and blue-ray DVR. The surround sound was upgraded with a Yamaha amplifier. There is a wireless headset as well.
One couch was removed during the upgrade and replaced with a custom-made desk, file cabinet and credenza featuring the same Corian top as in the kitchen. Several kitchen cabinets were also upgraded and new outlets added.
Most of the floor is easy to clean ceramic tile. Features include: central ac (two separate ACs), automatic patio awning, tile floor, 7500 Onan Quiet diesel generator. The kitchen has a three-burner propane stove and a microwave/convection oven.
The bedroom has a walk around king-size bed with a Sleep Number mattress (dual controls), flat screen TV, vanity and sink. There are night tables on each side of the bed with electric outlets and lights. The closet stretches almost across the coach and adjoins a vertical closet with space for a washer/dryer.
The shower has a skylight and is big enough to bathe two grandchildren at the same time. There is a separate room for the toilet with a sink and lots of storage.
The cockpit has a 12-inch color backup camera, CB radio, Sirius/XM radio with cd player, and Pressure Pro tire monitoring system. The driver and passenger leather seats were re-covered in 2012. They are six-way adjustable. The passenger seat reclines and has a foot rest. There is a desk drawer in front of the passenger seat for important papers.
Almost all the windows have MCD day/night shades. The coach comes with custom made outside screens for the front windows. They snap on and are great when you are parked for a long time.
All the electronics in the coach are protected by a professionally installed surge/low-voltage protection system manufactured by Progressive Industries.
All six tires were replaced in 2012. They have less than 10,000 miles on them. The house batteries were replaced in October, 2015. The chassis was serviced by Freightliner in Gafney, SC in September 2014 and all systems were cleaned, all filters were replaced whether they needed to be or not.
There is a great deal of storage under the coach as well as a slide-out tray.
